MPPT Charge Controllers determine the appropriate charge levels of the batteries providing little loss in their actual performance.
In relation to PWMs that distribute the generated energy of the photovoltaic panel to the batteries by approximately 80%, the remaining energy of the order of 20%
about is lost because simple PWM charge controllers do not detect the peak power point of the PV array.
Also, the smart functions of an MPPT regulator in terms of battery charging and equalization,
guarantee better charging and maintenance, thus extending their lifespan.
