Victron Energy Phoenix 24V / 5000VA Pure Sine Inverter
SinusMax – Top Specifications
This particular series of Victron inverters has been developed to professional specifications and is the right tool for a wide range of applications. The design criteria for this series were to produce real sine wave with optimized performance but without compromising on performance. Using new hybrid high-frequency switching technology, the result is a top quality inverter with compact dimensions, low weight and capable of delivering trouble-free power at any load.
Extra boot power
A unique feature of SinusMax technology is its very high boot power. Conventional high frequency technology does not deliver such high performance. The professional line of Phoenix inverters, however, can supply demanding loads such as cooling compressors, electric motors and similar devices.
Almost unlimited power thanks to parallel inverters and three-phase system support
Up to 6 inverters can be operated in parallel to achieve higher power output. For example, six parallel 24/5000 inverters can provide 24kW / 30kVA output power, with support for three-phase operation.
Transfer the load to another AC power source: automatic transfer switch
If an automatic transfer switch is required it is advisable to use the MultiPlus inverter / charger instead. The switch is included in these models and the MultiPlus charging function can be switched off. This switch provides a very short transition time (less than 20 milliseconds) so as not to interrupt the power of computers or other electronic devices.
Computer connection
All series have RS-485 port. All it takes to connect to your computer is the MK2 (accessory) interface. This interface offers galvanic isolation between the inverter and the computer and converts the RS-485 port to RS-232. An RS-232 to USB conversion cable is also available as an accessory in this series. Along with the VEConfigure software, which can be downloaded for free from the company’s website, all inverter operating parameters can be customized to suit the desired function. This includes output voltage and frequency, allowing the voltage to be adjusted higher or lower than rated, as well as relay programming. The relay can, for example, be used to signal various emergency conditions, or to start a generator. The inverters can also be connected to Venet, Victron Energy’s new power control network or other electronic monitoring and control systems.
